We had a wonderful 'Children's Ministry Day' last year and are really looking forward to doing it again this year! Last year we adopted a Grandmother, Mrs. Nina Barefoot, who is now in assisted living. We visited with her and all the other residents, said our pledge, etc. and sang songs with them. The girls had made cards to give to Mrs. Nina. I read a story out of the WMU Mission's Mosaic and then we all had prayer. We plan to do something similar on Saturday, and the girls have decorated their own t-shirts to wear this year!

We had a wonderful Children's Ministry Day!!  We decided to do something for the shut ins in our community.  We made a card, a gift, soup, cornbread, and cupcakes for them.  We delivered the items to the shut ins.  The children were so excited to take what they had made to the shut ins.  Everyone was delighted to see us and loved what we had brought them.

On Children's Ministry Day,  Children In Action from Black Springs Baptist Church made up and delivered First Aid Kits to the Crossroads Pregnancy Center in Milledgeville, GA.  The children fulfilled a medical need for the center.  A representive from the center gave a tour of the center to CIA members and their leaders and explained how they help their clients learn and earn.  A fun and informative time was had by all participants.

Girls in Action from First Baptist Church, Rincon, Georgia participated in Children's Ministry Day "Loving Hearts" by visiting patients @ Backus Children's Hospital in Savannah, Georgia on February 14, 2009.  31 people attended, including 15 GAs, 12 Adults, and 4 children to make this a most memorable day.  GAs performed a "Medical Advice" Skit from the CMD Promotion Kit during both worship services on Feb. 1st.  Our church made CMD possible by pouring out love through their generous gifts of coloring books, puzzle books, crayons, pens, pencils, and stuffed animals, etc. for the children.  GAs delivered valentines, sweets, and gifts to the patients.  The smiling faces of the children and the gratitude of their parents made it a worthy cause, sharing the love of Jesus.  We all enjoyed lunch at Cici's Pizza.

The GA's of Bethlehem Baptist Church, East Dublin, Georgia, collected 1,560 diapers and carried them to the ABC Women's Clinic across town to Dublin.

After arriving at the clinic, we held a prayer walk in the rain.  Ms. Becky, the Director of the clinic, talked to us and shared that so far, in 2009, 16 babies have been saved because of the ABC Women's Clinic.

The diapers that were donated, will be given to those mothers of the babies who will be  born soon.  We will continue to support the clinic and pray for the mothers and babies.

After we left the clinic, we enjoyed lunch at our favorite place, ZAXBY'S!  It's our official dining out spot.

I hope to have pictures up soon!

Clap Toomsboro Baptist  joined with the other churches of the Ebenezer Baptist Association in GA to fill baskets for three area nursing homes.  Then Toomsboro Baptist children joined with the  McIntyre Baptist and Irwington Baptist children to deliver 66 baskets to Heritage Health Care in Toomsboro, GA.  What a joy the children had visiting and delivering the baskets to the residents, and what a reception we received from the residents.  A wonderful time was had by all.
